Rear Sets - Kawasaki Ninja 650 / Z650 2017-2023
SATO RACING Rear Sets for 2017-23 Kawasaki Ninja 650 and Z650 (part# K-65017RS) features a track-engineered, competition-ready design, with components precision CNC-machined out of light-weight, high strength anodized billet aluminum. Modular adjustable design provides 6 unique peg positions that bring your feet Up / Back compared to stock, in a range well-suited for performance riding. These premium Rear Sets have a 'street'-friendly design: Fully compatible with the stock brake light switch and ABS. Choice of all-Black anodized finish, or Gold over Black anodized base plates.
Choice of the standard Rear Sets, which provides a stock shifting pattern, and new Reverse Shift Rear Sets, which provide a reverse (GP-style) shift pattern.
Details:
The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs have End Caps made of protective high-density black Delrin.
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black DELRIN, and are also adjustable.
Adjustable Step Plate design lets you select from 6 foot peg positions. See Position Chart above for the adjustment range.
The shifter and brake pedals use miniature double stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel, and pivot on a separate axis from the foot pegs for optimal leverage.
Components are fastened together with stainless steel bolts.
Rear brake light compatible: includes hardware for attaching the OEM brake light pull switch. ABS-friendly design.
The Shift lever and linkage hardware included in the kit are designed to integrate with the OEM shift rod and change arm. Part# K-65017RS has stock shifting pattern, while part# K-65017RSR provides a dedicated reverse (GP style) shift pattern..
The Base Plates come in a satin Black anodized finish and are styled to blend well with the stock Kawasaki parts.
Rear Sets kit comes partly pre-assembled, and includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock foot controls (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Factory pre-tightened parts have already had threadlocker applied during assembly.)
NOTE: The matching Oil Filler Cap shown in some of the photos is not a part of the kit, but is available separately, part# H-OFCAP-R.
