Reverse Shift Rear Sets - Honda VFR800 2002-12
SATO RACING Reverse Shift Rear Sets for 2002-12* Honda VFR800 (part# H-VFR8RSR, v.2 design update) provides a GP-style reverse shifting pattern. This premium foot control kit features a track-tested and competition-proven design, with components precision CNC-machined out of light-weight, high strength anodized billet aluminum, with stainless steel bolts and hardware. Provides 6 adjustable positions so you can find the ideal position for your riding style. Choice of Black, Silver or Gold anodized finish.
*Compatibility with 2014+ VFR800F with the standard shift linkage (no Honda quick-shifter) might also be possible but we have not confirmed it yet.
Details:
The Foot Pegs are our classic round-style fixed (non-folding) pegs and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Includes end caps made of protective high-density black Delrin.
Adjustable Step Plate design lets you select from 6 foot peg positions, ranging from stock-equivalent position, to positions higher or lower and forward or back compared to stock. (See Positions Chart).
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black Delrin, and are also adjustable.
The Shift and Brake pedals use miniature double stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel.
Includes a black-anodized billet aluminum Change Arm that fits the shift spindle shaft (Not shown in the photos, but It is behind the fairing).
Shift Pedal, Shift Rod and hardware included in the kit provide a dedicated reverse (GP-style) shift pattern. (For stock shift pattern, get Rear Sets part# H-VFR814RS instead). NOTE: The photos above shows the stock shift version. See the parts diagram for the Reverse Shift version.
R-side Base Plate has a bracket to attach the heat shield. Another bracket is used to relocate the PCV downward.
A pressure-type brake light switch that attaches to the master cylinder is included. (Installation requires bleeding the brake).
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Factory pre-assembled parts such as the shifter and brake pedal are already pre-tightened using threadlocker.)
Kit includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock set. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
