Rear Sets - Yamaha YZF R6 2003-05 / R6S 2006-08
SATO RACING Rear Sets for 2003-05 Yamaha YZF-R6 and 2006+ R6S (Part# Y-R603RS) features an extensively track-tested design, with lightweight, high strength anodized billet aluminum construction. Provides 6 adjustable foot peg positions in a useful range for performance riding on the street or track. Can be set up for stock or reverse shift pattern. Black anodized finish.
(NOTE: The Silver version shown in the sample photos above is not currently available.)
Details:
Components are precision CNC-machined out of billet aluminum with a Black anodized finish, with stainless steel bolts / hardware. Use the stock bolts to attach the base plates to the frame.
The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs include End Caps made of protective high-density black Delrin.
Adjustable Step Plates provide 6 unique foot peg positions, ranging from stock-equivalent position to more aggressive positions higher up and further back. (See Position Chart above for the adjustment range).
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black Delrin, and are also adjustable.
The Shift and Brake Pedala use double miniature stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel.
Shift linkage includes a shift rod, and can be set up for standard (stock) shift pattern or reverse/GP Shift pattern by changing the angle of the stock change arm. (See animated GIF)
A pressure-type brake light switch is included in the kit. It attaches to the stock master cylinder. (You will need to bleed the brakes after installing the switch).
Rear Sets kit comes partly pre-assembled, and includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock foot controls. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Factory pre-tightened parts have already had threadlocker applied before tightening.)
