Rear Sets - Yamaha YZF R1 2007-08
SATO RACING Rear Sets for 2007-08 Yamaha YZF-R1 (Part# Y-R107RS) features a track-engineered and competition-proven design, with lightweight, high strength anodized billet aluminum construction. Provides 16 adjustable foot peg positions in a useful range for performance riding on the street or track. Choice of Black or Gold anodized finish.
Details:
Components are precision CNC-machined out of billet aluminum with your choice of all-Black anodized finish, or Gold anodized finish with Black shift assembly, and are fastened together with stainless steel bolts / hardware. Use the stock bolts to attach the base plates to the frame.
The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs include End Caps made of protective high-density black Delrin.
Adjustable Step Plates and peg mounts provide 16 unique foot peg positions, ranging from stock-equivalent position to more aggressive positions higher up and further back. (See Position Chart above for the adjustment range).
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black Delrin, and are also adjustable.
The Shifter and Brake Pedal uses miniature double stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel.
Shift linkage components are externally mounted, and do not use the stock frame pass-through. Includes a matching black anodized billet aluminum Change Arm. You can switch from standard (stock) shift pattern to reverse/GP Shift pattern by changing the mounting position of the Shift Rod to the opposite end of the Shift Lever.
A pressure-type brake light switch is included in the kit. It attaches to the stock master cylinder. (You will need to bleed the brakes after installing the switch).
Rear Sets kit comes partly pre-assembled, and includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock set. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Factory pre-tightened parts have already had threadlocker applied before tightening.)
