Rear Sets - Yamaha YZF R1 2004-06
SATO RACING Rear Sets for 2004-06 Yamaha YZF-R1 (Part# Y-R104RS) features a track-engineered and competition-proven design, with lightweight, high strength billet aluminum construction. Provides 6 adjustable foot peg positions in a useful range for performance riding on the street or track. Black anodized finish.
Details:
Components are precision CNC-machined out of billet aluminum with a deep satin / gloss Black anodized finish, and are fastened together with stainless steel bolts / hardware. Use the stock bolts to attach the base plates to the frame.
The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding) and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs include End Caps made of protective high-density black Delrin.
Adjustable Step Plate design provides 6 unique peg positions. (See Position Chart above for the adjustment range).
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black Delrin, and are also adjustable.
The Shift Link components and the Brake Pedal use double miniature stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel.
The Shift Rods, Shift Link and hardware included in the kit is designed for use with the stock change arm, and reuse the existing frame pass-through. You can set it up for standard (stock) shift pattern to reverse/GP Shift pattern by changing the mounting position of the smaller shift rod on the Shift Lever. (See animated GIF)
A pressure-type brake light switch is included in the kit. It attaches to the stock master cylinder. (You will need to bleed the brakes after installing the switch).
Rear Sets kit comes partly pre-assembled, and includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock set. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Factory pre-tightened parts have already had threadlocker applied before tightening.)
NOTE: The sample photos depict an early version of these Rear Sets. The latest version has some design updates.
Currently available in Black anodized finish only. The Gold and Silver versions seen in the sample photos of the standalone rear sets are not currently in production.
