Rear Sets - BMW R1200R/ RS 2015-2018
SATO RACING Rear Sets (original design) for 2015-18 BMW R1200R/ RS (part# BMW-R12RS) features components precision CNC-machined out of light-weight, high strength anodized billet aluminum. Adjustable design provides up to 6* positions that bring your feet Up / Back compared to stock, for a sportier riding position. Choice of all-Black anodized finish, or Silver or Gold anodized finish with contrasting Black anodized base plates.
Details:
The Foot Pegs are fixed-type (non-folding), and have a finely knurled pattern for optimal grip, along with a comfortable, intuitive feel. Pegs have End Caps made of protective black Delrin.
You can select from 6* positions that bring your feet higher up and significantly further back in comparison to the stock foot rest position. See Position Chart above for the adjustment range.
* NOTE: On 2015-16 models with the stock side stand, Positions 1-3 may require adjusting the shift pedal position so it sits higher at the tip in order to avoid interference with the side stand during shifts. On 2017-18 models, only Positions 4, 5, and 6 can be used with the side stand in place. If you have a 2017-18 model, we recommend checking out our new Rear Sets part# BMW-R1250RS, which has an alternate design that puts the shifter slightly higher up and further out in the lowest positions, lessening the chance of interference issues.
The Pedal Tips (toe pegs) are made of tough, abrasion-resistant black Delrin, and are also adjustable.
The Shift Linkage and Brake Pedal incorporates miniature double stainless bearings for smooth, precise lever actuation with a solid feel, and pivot on a separate axis from the foot pegs for optimal leverage.
Components are fastened together with Stainless Steel bolts and hardware.
Compatible with the stock brake light sensor and ABS.
The multi-link shift linkage is designed to attach to the stock change arm and rod end, providing a dedicated stock shift pattern.
Rear Sets kit comes partly pre-assembled, and includes some basic instructions, but does not detail how to remove the stock set. (Consult a shop manual). We recommend installation be performed by a certified mechanic.
A small tube of threadlocker is included with the kit. (Factory pre-tightened parts have already had threadlocker applied during assembly.)
