Lever Guard 'Type N' + Spacer Collar for use w/ SATO 30mm Bar Ends for hollow bars (Honda +various)
SATO RACING Lever Guard is a racing part designed to protect your hands and prevent unintentional engagement of the brake or clutch lever, such as during contact with another rider on the track. It is often fitted to race bikes on the brake side only, but it can also be installed on the clutch side for a symmetrical appearance.
SATO RACING 'Type N' Lever Guard (DELRIN) part# LG30N-H features a guard arm made of tough, resilient Black plastic attached to a high strength black anodized billet aluminum base with a geared pivot that can be adjusted to several angles for maximum compatibility. This also allows it to be installed on either the left side or right side. The base of this Lever Guard is 30mm diameter to match the diameter of SATO RACING standard-size (30mm diameter) Handle Bar Ends, and is designed to be assembled together with SATO RACING Bar End models for hollow bars (part# BE-1/2/3/4 / F/S/L). (NOTE: These Handle Bar Ends are sold separately and are not included in the price of the Lever Guard).
The base included with Lever Guard LG30N-H includes an integrated black-anodized aluminum spacer collar and 14-16mm stretch sleeve, which can be expanded to 18-19mm with the removable outer stretch sleeve that is included with our Handlebar Ends. The integrated Spacer Collar is useful when installing on Honda models or other bikes with stock handlebars that are wide at the opening, then step down to a smaller diameter inside the bars. This integrated spacer can also be used as an external spacer on non-Honda models (such as Ducati, etc) to provide some additional clearance between the lever guard and the lever.
NOTE: This Lever Guard model is designed to be integrated with the hardware included with the SATO RACING Bar End models listed above, and will not work with stock bar ends or other aftermarket bar ends.
NOTE: If installing a single Lever Guard on a Honda, we recommend getting Honda-type Bar Ends with Spacer Collars part# BE-3(F/S/L) or BE-4(F/S/L), so you get the correct spacer collar for the Bar End side that doesn’t have the Lever Guard.
